Diego Moranzoni is an Argentine journalist and television host with a long-standing career in media outlets such as Crónica TV, C5N, and Late 93.1. Known for his outspoken style and involvement in charitable campaigns, he has also been at the center of media controversies that have shaped his recent public image. Despite public allegations and his departure from traditional television, he remains active on digital platforms, defending his reputation and maintaining a strong connection with part of his audience.
Early career and professional growth
Diego Moranzoni began his journalism career as a field reporter, standing out for his direct approach and his ability to engage viewers. His early work on shows like AM helped him gain recognition and establish a solid presence in the media. Over time, he went on to host programs such as La Noche and Estudio Estadio on C5N, as well as Mediodía Imperfecto on Late 93.1, expanding his reach across both radio and television.
Role at Crónica TV
At Crónica TV, Moranzoni became one of the network’s most visible personalities, especially noted for leading socially driven programming. During his tenure, he headed several campaigns aimed at helping people in vulnerable situations, earning him widespread appreciation from viewers and solidifying his image as a journalist committed to public service.
Controversies and public response
In May 2025, Moranzoni was removed from Crónica TV following allegations of misappropriating funds from a charity fundraiser meant to help the granddaughter of his friend Griselda Franco. According to reports, it was claimed that he transferred money from Franco’s phone to his own account. Moranzoni vehemently denied these accusations, stating it was a 250,000-peso loan and that he has messages to prove it. He described the incident as a smear campaign against him and announced he would present evidence to support his claims.
Previously, in February 2024, Moranzoni faced a criminal complaint for alleged incitement to commit a crime after saying live on Crónica TV: “Go out and steal! They’re freeing up all the zones.” He later clarified that his remarks were taken out of context and that his actual intention was to criticize the lack of security in certain neighborhoods.
Current status and outlook
Since his departure from Crónica TV, Moranzoni has continued his journalistic work through digital platforms, including streaming programs like M&M on Dos Reyes Stream. Despite the controversies, he continues to enjoy support from a segment of his audience and remains active within the media landscape.
